Why network marketing
Why I am in network marketing?
Many people ask me: “Why are you in network marketing? You are a nurse; you should be making lots of money”.
For those who ask this question, they do not really understand the benefits of network marketing. Some folks are involved with network marketing to earning extra-income from home. Other folks have different reasons for being involved.
First of all, the goal of being involved in network marketing may not necessary be money.
But let’s talk about the money anyway:
Network marketing allows a recurring income, which means even if you stop working theoretically, the money keeps coming. Now in order to achieve this success, you need to reach the momentum in the business, and obviously you need to have a company that keep sending you the check and a company that stays in business. You obviously need a system independent from you.
Being a nurse or having any other job in corporate America, when you stop working, the money stops coming in. With network marketing you can have money coming in every month once you have built your business. And when you stick long enough with a good company to reach momentum, then the money can be really serious.
Another way to look at it is: let’s say you wanted a $2000 a month income from you banking investments. You may need to have about half million dollars invested! Hoping your investments are safe.
Secondly, it is the feeling of success that may be worth more than billions of dollars. If you watch millionaires, they work even harder than other people not because they need the money but because they like the feeling of being being a winner.
Thirdly, network marketing is a learning and teaching business. Some folks enjoy teaching and helping others. I enjoy learning, growing and teaching as well.
Fourthly, network marketing is the ultimate “personal development” school. You learn to be positive, goal oriented and organized. You learn leadership skill.
In the master mind IV last year in Houston, we had the chance to hear Mark Yarnell talking. Mark yarnell is very successful in network marketing. He has authored many books about this topic.
Mark Yarnell told us his plan: when he makes x amount of money, he will retire. He bought a huge house, he had his own yacht and he had his own personal airplane. At that time, all he did was eat. He did nothing else. He started gaining weight. He got depressed! So he went back to work in his business.
He told us that in order to succeed in network marketing you need to have a goal bigger than YOU. And you need to have fun doing the business.
Now, Mark Yarnell is very sadistic type. He has some crazy, hilarious, audacious ways of doing the business and prospecting. One of his crazy techniques is that he waits till the elevators get crowded, he gets in and says: “Now can you tell me why I called this meeting?”
He is crazy! He is funny though. His techniques are very aggressive; most people can not follow these techniques.
Conclusion:
1-Make your goals bigger than you, make them very big. Most people fail because they set their goals very low and reach them! Then what!
2-Have fun doing the business, if you are not having fun, you are not doing it right.
3-Enjoy teaching and helping other people to reach their dreams and goals.
Till the next tip.
I appreciate you,

Many network marketing company are scared that at Christmas time, business will slow down. So they start pushing their distributors to work. They start having contests and emplying other gimacks to get them to work.
I personally do not like these techniques that pushing people to work.
The reality is, during the holidays, people are in the mood of buying. They have a loose hand over their credit cards and enjoy spending money.
If you are looking to make some sales durning the holidays, then pitching your products is appropriate.
If you are looking to find new business partners, then it will be appropriate to pitch your opportunity. This prepares them for the new year.
Many people have a New Years resolution to start their own home based business or to make a difference in their financial future.
How about taking a break during Christmas?
I do believe we all have to take breaks and vacations . . . just as long as the break has a deadline. Jim Rhon says: If you take a long break, the weeds will eat your garden.
There are other companies who recommend some sneaky tricks to prospect friends and family during the holidays.
On one of my old company training calls, they recommend to have a New Year party or X-mas party for your team. Each team member will bring a friend. Your friends thinks they are going to a party-party but when they get there, they will be told about ‘the opportunity’ during the party!
I consider this very sneaky and relys on deception. I would stay away from them.
Merry X-mas. I hope you get some gifts.
Always thanks God for His blessings. Always be thankful for what you have.

Network marketing: is it a scam?
If it is not a scam, why do so many prospects tell you ‘network marketing is a scam’?
1-First: If people tell you network marketing is a scam, you are talking to the wrong people and you are not targeting your market. This is what Dr K says:
“When I started in network marketing, I was working with a Orenda International company. Those guys have no idea about marketing. They have no system. They have no clue about technology and internet marketing. They leave you with the dumb old warm market prospecting and the 3 foot rule. They market their products with illegal health claims so they forbid anyone to have any website or using the Internet! As a result, I heard these words, ‘network marketing is a scam’:(
I was marketing to my warm market because I was impressed with some of my company’s products. I left immediately when I found out about the junk in the company. I left when I discovered something that broke my heart: Breakage. Being a blue personality this made me lose my mind. I regained some of it, lol
I won’t talk more about this today. Let’s get back to our topic.
If your advertizement is targeted for people who are looking for business opportunities and for people who are looking to join network marketing companies then you will never hear these words again. You never have to worry about this objection. It is that simple. I have not heard these words for very long time.”
Conclusion: Talk to people who are already sold on the concept of network marketing, financial and time freedom.
2-Some companies, even though they look like legal network marketing, they are actual scam deals, in my opinion, or if you want to be polite you can call them a rip-off.
Orenda international even though it is a legal company and not a scam, it was in Dr. K’s opinion a rip-off. Don’t get fooled!
It is in Dr. K’s dark past; at least he woke up before he got many people involved.
Conclusion: target your marketing and I promise you never hear this word again unless you are in a scam deal and you are not aware of it yet!
