Articles as mlm lead generation tool
Yesterday in the mentoring for free, Richard and Dave had a nice presentation.
They discussed many ideas and topics.
They discussed writing articles and press releases for getting traffic to your website.
Articles can be cheap or free tool for marketing yourself.
What do you write about?
Your company, your products, etc.
Many people feel like fainting when they hear about writing articles, you hear all types of excuses: I am not a writer, my grammar sucks…
Hey, I said the same initially.
English was not my favorite subject and for my first few articles, I had someone else proof read them. That’s right I just pay $6/article for someone to proof read them for me
Let me give you some quick tips about writing articles that you can use for your business immediately, let me show you how easy it is:
Let’s suppose you are selling an aloe Vera product.
You go to www.overture.inventory.com
This tool is free and allows you to have an idea how many people per month searching in yahoo about any related word.
I did a search for aloe Vera related words; this is the list that I got:
5109 aloe vera juice
There are about 5.ooo people/month looking for information on aloe vera juice in yahoo alone!
Do you think you can write an article about aloe vera juice?
Of course you can. You are selling aloe vera, you better know about it.
What if you do not feel you know enough about aloe vera, what do you do?
Big deal. Go to your public library, find a book about aloe vera ( I live in the US, the public libraries in the US offers free books renting, I am not sure about other countries) or just search the internet for aloe vera juice benefits and write an article.
Your article should be error free or it will not be accepted, if you need some help, you can talk to your children English teacher and she will gladly proof read it for you.
If you have dozens of articles, you probably can give her a small gift ![]()
You can actually prospect her indirectly
You wrote the article, what’s next?
You submit it to what is called: article directories or ezine publishers.
Some major article directories are:
www.goarticles.com
www.ezinearticles.com
www.amazines.com
At the end of your article, you add what is called: “resource box” where you can sell yourself or your product, and put a link to your website, lead capture page, etc.
I will talk tomorrow about what they discussed in the mentoring for free about Press releases and how you can use them for your business.

Blogs as lead generation tool in network marketing.
A “blog” or web blog is a website that is updated regularly like a diary; this website for example is a blog.
How you can use a blog for your business?
It is a website and if it is built around certain topic you will be able to get free traffic from the search engines and generate leads or sales for your products or business.
For example, let’s suppose your company is a nutritional company and one of your products help diabetes. You will start a blog about diabetes and you start adding a post about diabetes every day or every other day, about diabetes issues and therapy…Soon or later people will find you through the search engines. You may add a small banner add or add link to your company products. Also people will start asking you questions and looking for your advice.
Blog requires commitment and if you do not think you are able to keep posting and researching news about diabetes don’t do it. You may have a blog with your team and everyone commits to a weekly post.
It is very easy to have a blog and if you are on a budget you can have one for free.
There are many places that offer you the option to have a blog completely free such as www.blogger.com
www.blogger.com was very popular but because they allowed unlimited numbers for free, many people abused the system and start spamming.
www.blogger.com is owned by google. One day google got angry and started deleting randomly blogs and many innocent bloggers lost their blogs.
When your blog is free, you have no control over it and you do not own it.
You can also host your blog similar to my blog, you can have a decent hosting that costs only 7-8$/month, and in some cases if the host allows you to have sub domains or multiple domains, you can actually share the price with other team members.
So, what do you do after having a blog?
1-Post daily if possible
2-Make your blog focused on a theme or a topic (such as in my case mlm and network marketing, you can focus on your products: immune system, diabetes, etc.)
3-Sign up to your own RSS feeds
4-Submit your blog to blog directories
5-exchange links with other blogs
This is a really quick introduction; there are plenty of books about the topic that give more details. I bought two books to get more understanding. There are lots to talk about.
If you want more details, I found this website with plenty of details you may want to check it out
If it seems I am out of space and you need more explanation, just ask me.
Just go and open a free blogger, it takes 2 minutes so you get an idea what it is about and recongnize blogs when you find them in the search engines.

Yesterday mentoring for free call was about “the power of the list”.
Richard Dennis and Dave cones discussed many interesting topics:
1-Marketing to hungry prospects not to the general public:
If your upline ask you to build your business by calling your warm market, he has no idea about marketing. Your friends and family are not your target market.
2-You can target the market online by using Google adwords:
Google adwords being the advertisements called sponsored links on the right side of Google searches. Richard recommended obviously Perry marshal book to learn how to get effective Google adwords campaigns. Perry is known to be the ‘guru’ in this field.
This e-book talks about getting the most of your hard earned money by increasing conversion and split testing. Split testing consists of showing multiple ads for the same link and tracks it to see which increase the conversion rate.
3-Testing is the key for any marketing campaign (offline or online)
In any marketing campaign, testing and tracking is essential.
Tracking online is crucial, it allows you to find the ads that making you money or bringing leads and the one that cost you money and therefore you dump those ads.
4-Ezine for targeting your advertisements:
Richard recommended searching ezines that accepts advertising.
If you are selling nutritional products, you search for ezine about alternative health and natural health and you run ads in it. Obviously, you track your add.
Richard recommended testing in a small scale before testing on a high scale.
Richard and Dave also discussed offline marketing with post cards.
They also discussed sales letters which applies for selling online. I do believe the same concept apply for lead capture pages, you test different headlines and small different changes and follow the conversion rate.
I hope I gave you some tips today from the mentoring for free call.
I hope you can make it for next week.
If you are a newbie and some of these concepts seem like chinese, please do not hesitate to comment on my blog and I will explain them.
